Granddad

Last night, around 5:30, Granddad was met by Granny at Heaven's gate, we are sure of it. We have a good feeling that Granny had the coffee ready and that one of the first things out of her mouth was, "Where have you been?" I can just hear her saying it now. Then I'm sure they sat on the back porch drinking coffee, watching the birds and horses, and catching up over the past 4 1/2 years. I wish I could be a fly on the wall. We were fortunate to each get some time with Granddad yesterday. That time was priceless. We were also blessed to be able to be with him the entire time. We are experiencing such a loss at this time, but he is well and I know he couldn't be happier. He is in the best place of all, the place we are all longing for one day.

Kelly,

I know that your heart is broken with the loss of your grandfather, but what a beautiful picture of him being met in heaven by your grandmother. What a comfort! What do people do without the Lord? Our prayers are with you and your family.

We love you,

How well stated the manner in which you described your Granddad leaving this world to be with your Grandmother. What a gain for your Grandmother and Heaven. Isn't it wonderful to have that peace that comes with knowing our God will take care of us. I have thought about you all week. Terry and I talked about driving over there but I had to have 6-months tests and scans done.
You are in our prayers.

Kelly, I am still praying for you and your family. I know it is still so hard. Now the time of actually 'missing' him sets in. I hope it won't be long for all of you when the time comes for a memory to pop up and instead of tears, it will just be a smile and a sigh. I told Karie the other day, I have a vivid picture in my head from K&K's wedding of our Granddad's talking, just like they are now! You KNOW they're talking about those great- grandkids! Granddad is telling my granddaddy all about Max, they're laughing and sharing stories of the others.... wouldn't it be fun to hear! Love you, Kimberly W.
