Max's feeding tube is out!!!!

I talked to my mom tonight and she said that they took Max's NG tube out this morning!!!! He has done well throughout the day taking bottles and nursing. Please continue to pray that his blood sugar will remain stable & above 50. Also please continue to pray for increased strength for Max to be able to tolerate his feedings. He also needs to put some meat on his bones! Please pray for weight gain. He is up to 6lbs 14oz last I heard.

Mom said that they seemed to sleep well for it to be their first night away from Max. Please pray that Kelly & John will continue to have peace and rest.

Please pray that Max will be able to come home soon!!!

We keep praying,
Karie

II Cor 12:9-10

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Kelly and John,
Like hundreds of others, Max and you are constantly on my mind and I am constantly bringing the three of you before our Father in prayer. I will be praying today that the ultrasound results will bring nothing but good news. Max is doing great.
Love you and wish I were there.

Karie,

What a precious sister you are--thank you for doing such a great job on this blog. It is so good to be able to know each day that we as friends and family can get news of what God is doing. May God give you continued time and strength to do this as you take care of your darling Annie and Daniel.
Love,
Gwendolyn

Kelly and John,
The pictures of Max are a joy to look at. Those big beautiful eyes and sweet face. And now to no longer see that feeding tube and to know he is much more comfortable. Thank God for all the progress in Max's health. "The reason I can still find hope is that I keep this one thing in mind: the Lord's mercy. We are not completely wiped out. His compassion is never limited. It is new every morning. His faithfulness is great. My soul can say, "the Lord is my lot in life. That is why I find hope in Him.The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to anyone who seeks help from Him." Lamantations 3:21-25
We love you and your family so much. Ya'll have been a blessing to our life for so long. And now with so many people getting to "know" Max--ya'll are continuing to be a blessing to so many others, even people you don't know.
Love,
Gwendolyn, Ronnie, John, and Rachel

Max looks so good and is doing so well. John and Kelly, you two need to rest as much as possible. I know it is difficult but God has blessed us with all of the improvement in Max and we are so thankful. Praise God! He is so precious and I love him so much. I love the two of you, also, and this is an "ole nanny" telling you to take care of your selves.
Love,
Nanny Di
