Surgery is done

Max is done with surgery and is off of the ventilator, PRAISE GOD!!!!!! Dr Burson said that he did well and that the shunt was draining as it should. He said that the shunt has a valve on it so that it won't drain too much too quickly. He said that Max is crying and that Kelly & John will be able to see him in 5-10 minutes. He said that they shaved a little bit of Max's hair and saved it so that Kelly can put it in his baby book for his first haircut! He has a small incision behind his ear and one in his abdomen. Please continue to pray for his recovery.

Thank you so very much for your prayers and your concern,

We keep praying,
Karie

John, Kelly, and Family,

My heart and mind and prayers have been with you this morning. Part of my Bible study today fucused on Psalms 34. It is a chapter that has had special meaning to me over the last several years. Here is a small section that sticks out to me:
"The righteous cry out and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all ... The Lord redeems his servants, no one will be condeemed who takes refuge in him." Ps. 34:17-19, 22
Praise God for hearing our prayers and praise him for Max's surgery going well!
God will make a way...

Love,
Gloria Killeen

"Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom." PS 145:3
We will keep praying that things will continue to go well for Max and we will give God the glory for His hand in all of this.
Thank you Karie, so much, for taking the time to update us so quickly--we have not been able to go very far from the computer! You are a blessing to this family and to all of us! God bless you!

Kelly and John,

I praise God for His awesome power and compassion! He is forever with us. I praise God that He has answered our prayers and that Max's surgery has gone well! We will not cease to keep Max and you in prayer. Always remember that our great God can do abundantly increasingly more than all we can think or imagine. I am thinking of Max - and imagining him grown and strong, loving God and allowing God to use him to His glory!
Again, I love you dearly and am keeping you before the Lord in prayer.
Love in Christ,
Tammie Dye
